Dear friends, it is time for another party hosted by your BRASED.
Celebrate with us the end of our nation’s monarchy on the 15th of November. To mark this national holiday, Brased has planned a new event that celebrates our rich northeastern culture in one of Edmonton’s most charming halls, surrounded by windows which allows us to see nature all around us.
For only $25, don’t miss the opportunity to eat VATAPA (a shrimp based dish) , MUQUECA (fish and shrimp northeastern stew) , XIMXIM de GALINHA (cream of chicken) , and other delicious Brazilian surprises.
Cash bar available, featuring traditional Brazilian drinks such as CAIPIRINHA and GUARANA, and other popular options.
Come and listen to our beloved FORRO, see a dance show, and dance with all your friends.
Don’t miss the opportunity to look at our Brazilian culture exhibit and to introduce your non-Brazilian friends (as well as Brazilians from other regions of the country) to our northeastern culture.
Books and DVD’s will be available for members of our library on the day of this event.
The event starts at 5:30 pm. Dinner will be served starting at 7pm.
Space is limited, so reserve your tickets soon by contacting secretary@brased.org.
Feel free to send a link to this event to all your friends.
Hope to see you there.
